This was Bis 2023: Discover the bespoke cabinets and aftermovie!

What a fantastic BIS, construction & interiors fair we experienced this year! Thank you to everyone for the massive visit to our stand! In this blog, we'll show you the bespoke cabinets on display at our stand, but first ... reminisce with this aftermovie!

Before the exhibition doors opened, we had a chance to take some pictures of all the cabinets on the exhibition stand. (Not an easy job with the yellow artificial light in the exhibition hall). But here they are:

Scoop: The custom-made laundry cabinet

The absolute eye-catcher of our BIS exhibition stand was our very latest custom-made laundry cabinet! The laundry cabinet we presented here was finished in Atlas Oak wood texture and fitted with minimalist Mini Pure and Push To Open handles. The washing machines here are at ergonomic height and have a handy pull-out shelf (tablet drawer) for the laundry basket. A tablet drawer is fitted with a latch. This latch securely latches on either side when the shelf is fully extended. This keeps the tablet drawer in the same position. Releasing the stop is easy with one hand, by operating the lever.

What makes our laundry cabinets truly unique? Not only are they extra reinforced, but also fully customised, and they even have a removable back for easy access to pipes or taps.

Made-to-measure dressers: Stylish and functional

On our stand, we also displayed a beautiful arrangement of dressing rooms to show you the versatile possibilities. Whether you want a corner dressing room, an open area or a closed area with doors, or a dressing room under a sloping roof, it's all possible.

The outside of the cabinets was finished in the sophisticated Weave Wool Beige colour with a visible weave texture, while the inside shone in the warm wood texture Hudson Oak. This stylish combination was complemented by black clothes rails and subtle black Mini Pure handles. Of course, at Maatkasten Online, you have complete freedom to choose the dimensions, layout and colours of your dressing room as you wish!

Bespoke dressing island: The perfect addition to your dressing room

At our stand, you could also take a stroll around our free-standing dressing island. If you have enough space, such a dressing island is the perfect addition to your dressing room. On top of the island, you can neatly fold your clothes, while the handy storage drawers provide abundant storage space for all your clothes and accessories. The dressing island we presented at the fair was in Atlas Oak wood texture with handy handle frames to open the drawers.

Would you like to create your own dressing island? Then you can easily design it yourself online. You have the freedom to choose the dimensions, customise the layout, and even select the colour of the inside and outside, along with a unique colour or thickness of the top.

Made-to-measure TV wall unit

Another eye-catcher on our stand was the elegant pink made-to-measure wall unit, finished in the cool colour Dusty Coral and fitted with perfectly matching pink Tonton handles. The drawers of this unit close automatically and with an extremely gentle movement thanks to the built-in soft-close system. At Maatkasten Online, we attach enormous importance to the quality of our drawers, which is why we exclusively use the international award-winning Ta'Or Box drawer system. This system guarantees an ultra-thin design and a self-closing soft-close mechanism for the very best comfort.

Ceiling cupboard and commode combination

On our exhibition stand, we also presented this arrangement consisting of a ceiling cabinet with a commode of drawers underneath, both with an exterior finish in Atlas Oak wood texture. Inside the ceiling cabinet we showed the warm wood texture Lorenzo Walnut, and inside the chest of drawers you could see the colour Industrial Green. In addition, the chest of drawers had an extra-thick top of 36 mm, which differs from the standard thickness of 18 mm.

A ceiling cupboard can of course also be designed and ordered separately, just think of applications such as above a desk or in a garage above a workbench. The application possibilities for commode are also endless, ranging from living rooms and office spaces to dressers. Here you can also choose the dimensions, colours and layout as you wish.

Tailor-made wall combination

At our exhibition stand, we also presented this nice wall combination, consisting of two storage cabinets with a chest of drawers in the middle. This wall combination was finished in the trendy Silver Blue colour on the outside, and had a neutral white interior in Front White. For a sleek and modern look, the invisible push-to-open handles were used.

A striking feature of this wall combination was the extra-thick shelves on the inside, with a thickness of 28 mm. As standard, the shelves have a thickness of 18 mm, but you also have the option to choose the 28 mm thick shelves. This is especially useful if you plan to load your cabinets extra heavily, or if you prefer that look. The top shelf on the dresser was also extra thick, at 36 mm, as opposed to the elegant standard thickness of 18 mm, as found on the pink wall unit.

Last but not least: The made-to-measure bench

If you wanted to take a break from the busy fair, this was the ideal place to do so. This bench was in the light beige colour Dune Beige, has a seat depth of 40 cm, and had a handy handle frame at the top to open the storage bench.

What is so special about bespoke benches is that they also serve as storage cabinets. Not only are they sturdy to sit on, they are also fully customised to your needs and offer plenty of storage convenience. Tip: Add a custom-made cushion for a cosy seating area in your interior.
